BURY HOSPICE ARTWEEK 2010

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. The Exhibition is open to any member of the public over 16 yrs.

2. 2D original work only will be accepted.

3. The artist must declare on the Entry Form that all works submitted for entry are originals.

4. Bury Hospice, or its authorised representatives, reserve the right to reject, at the time of submission, any work (s) that is considered unsuitable for the exhibition.

5. Each artist can submit two works which must be for sale. Maximum size of work permitted is 30” x30” (76cmx76cm)

6. Works must be framed appropriately for the medium. All pieces must be strung, ready for hanging. Inadequately framed items will not be displayed. No clip frames will be accepted.

7. Works must indicate the artist’s name, title of piece, medium, price and entry form number on the back of the work. A tie-on label with all this information must also be attached to the back of the work with a string long enough to hang over the top front of the exhibit to aid screen labelling.

8. No work may be priced at less than £30. Works priced on the Entry Form may not be withdrawn from sale once accepted.

9. Works may not be sold for less than the catalogue price during the Exhibition. No work will be marked as sold until an agreed deposit has been paid.

10. In the event of a sale, Bury Hospice will take 25% commission. * If you wish to donate more than 25% commission, please enter your percentage here (……………). This will be acknowledged in the Art Week catalogue

11. Whilst every care will be taken, neither Bury Hospice nor any other person(s) connected with this event directly or indirectly, can accept responsibility for loss or damage, however caused. If insurance protection is desired, then each individual artist must make his/her own arrangements and bear the cost of the premium.

12. Accepted works must remain on show for the duration of the Exhibition. Sold and unsold works must be collected during the times and at the places specified. This information will be given to you if your entry is successful.

13. The Entry Fee of £10 covers all works submitted. This needs to be sent in with the Entry Form and is non refundable. All unsuccessful applicants’ fees will be donated to Bury Hospice. Cheques to be made payable to ‘Bury Hospice’.
